Our family of five recently relocated to Sandy Springs, GA. I grew up in beautiful southern Bluffton, South Carolina near the beaches of Hilton Head. My husband grew up in Hampton, South Carolina not far away from Bluffton. My husband and I have resided in the south for nearly 35 years. We have three children Rosa (17), Sarah (8), and Josef (7). My husband works for Lenbrook and I am a worker at home. We currently attend First Baptist Church Atlanta.
We homeschool our three children. We love teaching them God's truth and watching them grow in His grace. Our ultimate goal is to lead our children to seek an intimate relationship with God & surrender to Him every area of their lives. We purpose to start each day with a family Bible study, reading a chapter of Proverbs that corresponds with the day of the month. We desire for each child to develop a learning spirit and a servant's heart that looks for opportunities to serve others. It is a joy to see our children becoming best friends. We feel if they can learn to treat their siblings like they want to be treated, then they can learn to get along with just about anyone along life's way.
We have goals, but then we have reality! We are learning to practice flexibility, we do not set our affections on our own ideas or plans which can be changed by God or others! We try to make each day fun. Everyday is an exciting adventure!
We want to be quick to say, we are still learning by God’s grace and sanctification and we do not consider ourselves ‘Professional Parents’. However, there is one thing we are confident of is as Paul said to the Philippians (Phil. 1:6) For I am (we are) confident of this very thing, that HE who began a good work in you (us) will continue it until the day of Christ Jesus. We consider the Bible God's inerrant word (without error) and the final authority (the 'Owner's Manual') for our lives, and in it is contained all the answers to life’s questions.
We look to the Bible for all of our parenting instructions, God's word tells us to, (Matthew 6:33) "...Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." So, daily we seek God's face for His direction for our lives and our children's lives.
Our prayer is that all who view this site will realize that we are ordinary people with our individual weaknesses and imperfections but we do serve an extraordinary GOD who delights in demonstrating His great power through us! We trust that you will find strength and encouragement from HIM who is (Eph. 3:20)"...able to do far more abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us”
We believe a relationship with God is the most important thing in life. Also, start reading the book of Romans in the Bible and ask God to speak to you through it. You can be forgiven for everything you have done wrong and Jesus loves you no matter what mistakes you have made! The Bible says, "If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (I John 1:9) Tell God that you are making a choice to forgive those that have hurt you in your life and that you desire to repent, to leave the self-centered life that you have been living. Then ask Him to become the center of and take control over your life and make you a new person. He promises He will... and it's FREE!
It is our pray that you know that, people don't go to heaven because they are good, because everyone has done things wrong. We go to heaven because we have been forgiven! Jesus paid the penalty for our sin. That is what people call being 'saved'. We are saved from Hell, and free to partake in a grace-filled abundant life. Find a Church to plug into in your area that teaches the Bible (we attend First Baptist Church Atlanta), they can lovingly help lead you in your walk with Jesus Christ. We pray God will do a great work in your life.
